2009
Scarefest Year three of the Scarefest and the event continued to go from strength to strength. The three scare mazes Terror of the Towers, The Boiler House and Field of 1000 screams returned with updates to keep them fresh. Characters were out in strength on park including favourites Patch, Franklin, Skelvin and Phil and Wraiths lurked around Ug Land promoting the new Dark Forest area due to open in 2010.

With late openings and dark evenings the scarefest offers a chance to experience the rides and attraction in the dark. Alton has the perfect setting for a halloween event and after dark you really get to see the park in a new light.
