Based on Marylebone Road since 1884 and with roots dating back to the Paris of 1770 it has a fascinating and somewhat morbid history. Madame Tussaud began her career in the 18th century when she created death masks for prisoners about to be executed, this progressed into figures of well known people. Present day it houses a large collection of frequently updated figures from the showbiz world and history. The walk through experience begins as you are greeted by the press on your way to the first area showbiz party "Blush" its then onto "Premiere Night" featuring movie stars from all eras. The next section is divided into zones from the interactive Sports, Royal, Culture, and Music to World Leaders. After braving the chamber of horrors theres the "Spirit of London" animatronic ride where you board a London cab and take a journey through the sights sounds and smells of 400 years of history.
